Last week we launched Connection Scan in Germany at the SEITAR forum Conference in Berlin to a very positive audience of cross-cultural experts. Connection Scan is a particularly useful way of analysing how sub-groups from different cultures communicate with each other within an organisation. The scan offers a powerful factual start point from which cultural differences can be explored and cosmopolitan conversations encouraged (the theme of the Conference).

The 200 delegates were invited to complete a Conference Scan by rating their communication levels with other delegates using Connection Scan’s on-line questionnaire. Those that completed the questionnaire appeared on a Scan of the Conference network that enabled them to see who were the communication hotspots and to think about how they would network to maximum effect. Through the interactive scan viewer they could then zoom-in to see a scan of their own network from their perspective and as seen by others. Finally, Conference goers could get a personal report generated by the scanner emailed to them.

If communication patterns are important to you or you run Conferences and are interested in enhancing the way people connect then get in touch to find out more. info@connection-scan.com or +44 (0) 870 609 2038.

Delegates were pleasantly surprised that even with 170 participants the questionnaire only took approximately 10 minutes to complete.

On arrival at the Conference delegates could find themselves in the Conference Scan that was displayed on a large screen. The scan enabled them to see who were the communication hotspots at the Conference and to think about how they would network to maximum effect. Through the interactive scan viewer they could then zoom-in on to see a visualisation of their own network from their perspective and as seen by others.
